Hurling & Football: By Richie Mitchell

I got up that Thursday morning knowing that we were going to Football. I packed my gear and made sure I had everything in my bag. I went to school. We did a little bit of work and we headed off to Clarinbridge at half ten to play football. We arrived there at last. We were a little bit late so we had to get ready really fast. Our first match was against Athenry boy’s school and second it was Kinvara. It was the best match because we know them well. We played our last match against Ballyglass. We drew with them so that wasn’t that bad. Then, we went home and had no homework because we played so well.

A few days later, we played a hurling blitz. We played the blitz in Craughwell N.S. We played Turloughmore first. We lost, then we played Codewood, we lost as well. Last of all, we played Lissenkye. We lost to them as well. All schools were bigger so we only came for the fun. I want to give a big thanks to Mr.McDonagh and Susan for bringing us to the match and also for bringing us to the shop.
